Ron Shelton’s approach to real estate is simple, “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care,” and it shows. His decades-long reputation for expertly matching people with slope-side condos and mountaintop retreats includes the first-ever Breckenridge home sale over $1 million, and later the first-ever sale over $5 million, but numbers aren’t the only benchmark of his success. Ron says it’s the people that matter most, and his nearly forty years in the business are a direct result of satisfied buyers, happy sellers, and an extensive local network of repeat and referral clientele.

With nearly a lifetime spent in Summit County and a proven track record of results, Ron doesn’t just sell the Colorado lifestyle, he lives it. His earliest memories are riding horseback and rock climbing on the red rock formations at his family’s ranch southwest of Denver, now known as Roxborough State Park. His enthusiasm for outdoor recreation moved him to Summit County full-time at the threshold of his adult life, and he has been serving the area’s real estate needs ever since.

Coupled with his passion for the Summit County lifestyle, Ron’s knack for people is undeniable. His hobbies include skiing, sailing, scuba diving, traveling, photography, biking, and horseback riding. He lives on a 13-acre parcel between Breckenridge and Frisco with his wife, five horses, and two dogs. When he is not out facilitating a seamless sale or marketing one of Summit County’s incredible ski-in/ski-out properties, he can be found working on the next International Snow Sculpture Competition, held each January in Breckenridge, an event he and his teammates founded back in the early nineties to bring attention to the town and its greatest resource, snow!
